Before I Go

A Few More Hours Before I Go Before I Go  by Maria Fokas

She waited praying it would not stop raining. If he didn’t come there would be a reason. She clenched her wet fists onto her umbrella handle, feeling the pain in her bones; or was it her heart? Her soaking socks a reminder that she was there too long, and all the while there was one thing she didn’t abandon: the pleasure of hope.

  1. Maria, you have so many wonderful thoughts that I want to read when things settle down (I have just gotten started and everything is crazy). I just want to make a quick comment right now and then I will come back and read and read and read…You write so well. Your written words are very deep and intriguing and thought-provoking! I also loved backstage…even though I ran over everything quickly!

    1. Thank you so much for your kind words…I too have seen your blog and it’s welcoming and nostalgic so I’ll be visiting you as well – I wish you and your family a magical New Year dipped in love –

  3. First of all I want to say awesome blog! I had a quick question which I’d
like to ask if you don’t mind. I was interested to know how you center yourself and clear your head prior to
writing. I have had a hard time clearing my thoughts in getting my ideas out there.

I do take pleasure in writing but it just seems like the first 10 to 15 minutes tend to be lost
simply just trying to figure out how to begin. Any recommendations or tips?
    Appreciate it!
