Maria del Sol, Maria del Sol
To darkness no other, the light’s your own kind
Left in the morning, laid bare late at night
Maria del Sol, hidden garden, rarest delights
The Bee hives mother, profane sacred lover
Maria del Sol where are you tonight –
Still by sweet waters, where lovers once dined
Maria del Sol, breast bared, limbs entwined.
Time travels tamely as infinite twins conjoin
Maria del Sol forgotten lost melody yet its melody’s divine
Your blood holds a memory, your mind plays with mine
Maria del Sol, our past lives remembered
loves forever, the eternal sign.
A short poem for my friend who taught me how precious a word can be.
