THE NATURE OF TIME
[A Poem by me]
Just like the fields wrap their arms around the earth,
To nurture her, to blossom, to bear fruit,
and give us the gift of ripened sweets;
I will promise to never ignore you;
To be grateful, but careful, of the company I keep –
To be happy with the beauty a moment can bring –
Not be fooled by the things beyond my time’s reach.
For everything I’ve ever needed,
I came with – In my heart’s wishes.
Beautiful, Maria!

“to be happy with the beauty a moment can bring” was the line that jumped out at me. A timely poem, for sure. B

🙂 I’m trying to think whether to go with Stoic or Emotional, it’s causing quite the paradox !

Thank you for the focus on the fact that nurturing fear leads us on a fool’s errand imagining a yet-unformed future, and reminding us to get back to now where we meet our life, indeed, the only place we meet our creator an experience the joy of the creation. You made my thoughts go to a favorite scripture:
… for He says, “At the acceptable time I listened to you, And on the day of salvation I helped you.” Behold, now is “the acceptable time,” behold, now is “the day of salvation” — 2 Corinthians 6:2

What words do I use now to express how you made me feel…a moment when a few lines here take you to – 2 Corinthians? I will never forget your comment Jon! – Speechless! X
