Paradise Lost by Maria Fokas
Paradise Lost is not about the war in Heaven, but about the war on Earth – There is much to change, some are lost causes but some are not – The journey is long, and may never end – No time to waste, so I begin my journey from my hometown; Greece.
Discomfort is experienced by an individual who holds two or more contradictory beliefs, ideas, or values at the same time. This increases their mental stress, and as a result, they make attempts to get rid of the stress by doing things which will make them feel better about themselves. A simple example of this state is when stress and discomfort arise within an individual who holds a belief and performs a contradictory action or reaction.
For example, an individual is likely to experience this if he or she is addicted to a bad habit and continues to do it despite believing it is unhealthy. The concept I am referring to is called Cognitive dissonance.
