– Everything is an Imitation of an Idea –
Written in 2012
We’re in desperate need of quality time and simplicity. So the scarcity of it led me here. There were two reasons I started this blog (1) to share all types of stories without needing the “permission” of a publisher or the “acceptance” of an agent and (2) to create a reason for making time to write. But it turned out to be a blog of poetry. I had never written poetry before. I am surely an outsider when it comes to writing it too. So, why did I choose poetry? I will not say that it chose me 🙂 – maybe it’s a way to find myself. . . Oh, and discovering interesting stories in endless blogs by fascinating people like you, is the reason I will always keep coming back (2012).

This blog originally wanted to share short stories, free verse poetry, and extracts of longer stories; to take you away without leaving your home. My wish was to entertain and to stimulate emotions, so when you’d visit me from time to time, I’d take you on a journey; whether brief or long with the desire to make it worth your while – or at least the intent to put a smile on your day. And now I’d like to shift the purpose to a new journey, one I welcome you to take with me. Teaching for many years, what I found most interesting was the moment students would let me into their world. The stories they’d share. The title “In the Depths of Darkness” was chosen on a difficult day; a day that stopped a quest I was so intent on taking but since then, I realized that labeling days as good or bad, takes away from the true meaning of a day. So, the title has been changed to “Luve – Knots” only to move forward, and to now focus on the moments we come alive (2014).

Now – 2020
Looking back now, the reason for this blog was to record my quest – they one and only one, that is still moving forward; I didn’t know that when I started the blog. In 2012, it seemed to have no other purpose than to try and master the art of writing poetry – I will say I did not master this art at all, but I did enjoy the journey. Yes, this blog seemed to have no purpose, as one of my colleagues once pointed out to me, but it did help me find my purpose and that “one word” that many seem to be talking about these days.
A thing I valued since I was a five-year-old toddler playing in a sandbox without a worry in the world. And yes, we all have a “one word” as we all know well 🙂 one which defines what is most important to us, lurking in the background of everything we do and love; and it’s not money!
So, with this arduous time, we are all facing at the moment, I choose to spend it experiencing my one word – no matter what tomorrow brings. All days are a blessing like a true friend – and no matter what life throws at us, as long as we can see or imagine the light at the end of that tunnel, we will get through it. Keep in mind that everything will be as it is meant to be in the end; no need to fear the darkness.
As of today, March 25th, 2020 – my mission will be to bring light to the darkness, which serves no purpose to us.
Thank you for the visit and, bless you and your loved ones!
